 RES-CRETE™ RCUV (Epoxy Coating)

A two component, u.v. resistant, epoxy resin binder, cured with polyamines, for preparing decorative floor toppings and exterior deck coverings.
TECH DATA SHEET
AVAILABLE COLOR:

Yellowish Amber

ADVANTAGES:

  • 100% Solids / Zero VOC / Low Odor
  • High Strength Bond / High Shore Hardness
  • Protects Aggregate Surfaces / Resists Discoloration

APPLICATIONS:

  • Pool Decks and Walkways
  • Indoor Decorative Aggregate Floors
  • Outdoor Decorative Aggregate Patios

BASIC USES:
Designed to be mixed with a decorative aggregate to prepare overlays for floors and decks. May be used with colored quartz and other decorative aggregates.

APPLICATION:
All surfaces to be bonded to must be clean and dry. Where excessive alkaline seepage of the concrete has occurred, the surface should be etched with a 15% solution of Muriatic Acid, followed by thorough flushing with clean water. To one gallon of mixed compound, between 5 and 7 parts of aggregate may be added to prepare the topping mortar.
It will tolerate more coarse aggregate and less fine aggregate. The RES-CRETE™ RCUV must be mixed using a low speed drill and mixing paddle. Do not mix by hand or with a stir stick, as this will not provide sufficient mixing. The RES-CRETE™ RCUV is packaged in pre-proportioned kits, so measuring on the job site is not necessary.

Prime the surface with some of the straight, mixed RES-CRETE™ RCUV before troweling the mortar. This will insure good wetting of the substrate. The topping may be applied in any desired thickness, but a good average thickness would be 1/4 inch (6.4mm). For total thicknesses exceeding 1/2" (1.27 cm), multiple applications should be used, with a maximum of 1/2" per application.

An alternate method of preparing the RES-CRETE™ RCUV overlay consists of applying a coat of the mixed compound at a coverage rate of 50 square feet per gallon (1.23m2/liter), using a roller or trowel. Broadcast a decorative aggregate, such as colored quartz, into the wet film and allow to cure overnite. The next day apply another coat of mixed RES-CRETE™ RCUV at a rate of 75 square feet per gallon (1.84 m2/liter). Most aggregate will be embedded but enough will protrude to give sufficient slip resistance

 RES-CRETE™ RC 700 (Epoxy Coating)

A high-end, light reflective, chemical resistant epoxy floor coating for decorative showrooms, aircraft hangers, and medical suites.
TECH DATA SHEET | PRODUCT BULLETIN
AVAILABLE COLORS:

Concrete Gray Aluminum Gray Clear

RES-CRETE™ RC 700 is designed for use as a floor coating where a tough, abrasion resistant, light reflective coating that exhibits good chemical resistance is required. Recommended areas of application include warehouse floors, decorative show rooms, chemical processing plants, metal finishing plants, steel mills, food processing plants, sewage and waste treatment plants, aircraft hangers and industrial plant floors. Offers excellent protection against hydrocarbon spillage and chemical attack by most mild to moderately strong industrial chemicals. RES-CRETE™ RC 700 can also be used as a sealer or glaze coat for added protection on our standard epoxy floor systems. An aggregate such as #20 mesh aluminum oxide may be broadcast into the topcoat if an anti-skid finish is required.

ADVANTAGES:

  • High Solids / Low Odor
  • High Gloss
  • Resists Sewage, Greases, and Chemicals

APPLICATIONS:

  • Showrooms and Decorative Floors
  • Aircraft Hangars
  • Garage Floors / High-end Auto Repair Facilities
  • Industrial Floors

BASIC USES:
Designed for interior applications where superior abrasion and chemical resistance is required to protect the concrete floor.

APPLICATION:
All surfaces must be clean, sound and properly prepared. Concrete surfaces should be acid-etched, scarified or beadblasted to clean as recommended by the manufacturer. For the best results, prime the concrete surface with straight RES-CRETE™ RC 700. Combine component "A" and "B", which have been factory proportioned during packaging, and mix thoroughly using a mechanical mixer for 2-3 minutes, by the clock. Pour the thoroughly mixed components immediately to the substrate since the product has very short potlife. Mixed compound must be applied with a flat squeegee and backroll with a 3/8" nap roller. Caution!!! Higher temperatures will significantly reduce the work life of the material.

 RES-CRETE™ RCDF (Dielectric Flooring)

A two-component, epoxy binder for preparing epoxy floor toppings, which may be used as an electrical encapsulation grout.
TECH DATA SHEET
AVAILABLE COLOR:

Amber

A two-component adhesive binder for preparing epoxy floor toppings, which may be used as an electrical encapsulation grout. Modified Bisphenol A-Epichlorohydrin resin cured with a polyamine hardener. It is designed to be mixed with aggregate to prepare overlays for floors or for aggregate to be broadcast into the wet coating. It can be used to prepare eroded or spalled concrete floors. It offers protection against hydrocarbons and chemical attack from most mild to moderately strong industrial chemicals. It may also be used as a straight resin (no aggregate) for dielectric floor application.
